How does AgCard work?

AgCard is a centralised online platform containing a number of useful units to improve the health and wellbeing of people working in agriculture. The certificates have been written in collaboration with relevant industry bodies across agriculture. As a tool for learning and sharing knowledge, the units can be accessed on any device with an internet connection, including a phone, tablet or laptop. An audio option is available within each module for those with literacy concerns. After enrolling, the user selects which unit they wish to complete and then accesses practical and interactive learning materials.

On achieving 100 per cent accurate completion of all modules in each unit, the user receives a certificate that they can present to their current or future employer as evidence of their knowledge and understanding.

AgCard collaborates with a number of industry bodies to develop new units of competency, which will enable AgCard to further expand its reach and effectiveness. New modules are being planned covering biosecurity and livestock handling.

Ongoing industry and government support for AgCard is vital to ensure content can be regularly refreshed, the Project Officer can continue to work with the industry to develop new modules, and farmers and farmworkers are supported as part of their workplace best practice learning and implementation journey.

Farmsafe Australia is committed to ensuring AgCard remains focused, relevant and a priority pre-induction safety tool for all involved in agriculture. It is essential that the units continue to reflect and deliver industry best practice safety and training needs.

Risk identification, unsafe behaviour call out, control measures and protective equipment - AgCard covers all bases.
